Overview
Departments are logical groupings of workstations within your manufacturing organization. They serve as organizational units that help categorize and structure your workstations for better management and analysis.
Currently, departments are used exclusively for reporting purposes. They allow you to group related workstations together and generate reports based on departmental organization, making it easier to analyze performance and productivity across different areas of your operation.
To create a new department:
Navigate to Admin → Manufacturing → Departments
Click the "Add Department" button
When creating a department, you need to specify:
Department Name: Provide a descriptive name that clearly identifies the department's function or area of responsibility. Examples might include "Design," "Production," "Quality Control," or "Finishing."
